In pursuit of our mandate to equip PGIS practitioners within East and Central Africa, we have organized the following PGIS short courses:

• Participatory 3 Dimensional Model Mapping: August 13th - 31 st

• Participatory 3-Dimensional Modelling Mapping : 9th - 21th August '06
• GIS-based Watershed Management : January '06

• Participatory Mapping and PGIS for local-level Spatial Planning
  Nov — Dec '05
• Participatory Spatial Information Management and PGIS
  Aug — Sept '05

Target: development practitioners working with local communities drawn from NGO's, research and education institutions, government agencies and business organizations.

Qualifications: Course participants do not necessarily have to be GIS literate though it would be an added advantage. Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Tailored GIS Courses: Organizations can request for GIS training according to their specific needs.
